Guest guest
PRIYA BHAGAVAT BANDUVULLARA! VOICE OF THE RISHIS: 59 COURTESY: SHRI RAPARLA JANARADHANA RAO " NA SREY NIYAM VINAA " " No glory (sreyo), without a principled life (niyamam vinaa) " This text contains the summum bonum of a successful life. There can never be a great achievement or a successful career, without strict adherence to discipline with rules and regulations to life. Obeying rules of life as enumerated by the society, parents, the state, the teachers and the holy scripts is given only to a selected, few people with innate culture and good upbringing. Following rules laid down by parents and teachers, in a given area, leads to happier and easier way of life. And the nation that has such law abiding citizens occupies a higher status in the comity of nations. So this adage to adhering the laws is helpful not only to the individual but to the state also. Health laws, dietary restrictions, hygienically principles of ethical norms, form the fundamental basis for leading a good, healthy successful life to a man. However it may be argued that imposition of too many rigid rules undermines freedom to think and act by the individual promptings. Doubtless too many restrictions imposed on person, become shackles for individual freedom. While freedom of the individual allowed by a society is a " sine qua non " in its process, rigidity in rules may be discouraged. Too much of flexibility in following the rules is also not worthy for progress of an individual and that of the nation.
