THE ART OF LIVING - BE GOOD

 

That which has been received, must be properly utilized. Sons and

daughters must be raised well, must receive good education. Let us

strive so that they develop good inclinations and feelings, they

develop good character and become honest, decent human beings.

 

You have ample time for making money, but what the children are

doing? how they are being raised? what are they learning? - on these

things you pay no attention.

 

Oh! Brothers! The children are our real wealth. They can become great

human beings. That can be so wonderful. The great souls that have

been born, their mothers were pure and good. Children of such

mother's were very great. They became saints and great souls. A

mother's nature comes in the child. Therefore mothers should desire

that their children learn good things in life. But instead the wrong

things are being taught. Mothers teach their daughters to keep their

wealth with themselves. If there is a separation then that wealth

will remain with the daughter. Mothers teach their daughter things

like why to work in the husband's house. In joint family settings,

mothers advice, let the sister-in-law or the brother-in-law' s wife

work. Do not keep working. With such learnings, there will be lack of

harmony, there will be commotion. Interestingly when a daughter-in-

law comes into such a home, she too comes learning the same type of

thing, and therefore behaves in the same manner and doesn't work.

Then we complaint that our daughter-in- law does not work.

 

If we do good, then good will come back to us. If we do evil, then

evil things will come our way.
