Guest guest
PRIYA BHAGAVAT BANDUVULLARA! VOICE OF THE RISHIS: 66 COURTESY: SHRI RAPARLA JANARADHANA RAO " PRAJA TANTUM MA AVYAVACHECHEEH " --SIKHAVALLI In the final convocation at the end of the course in Gurukul (Forest Residential Learning Centre) system, the teacher offers several sane advices to his students, describing several ways of leading a successful life, in times to come. These include guidelines for the social or community life, of the student entering the wide world. " Let not the link of people (family) is not snapped " . This is an exhortation for the continuity of generations and that nothing should be done snapping its continuity. " The link of generations (Praja Tantum) be not snapped (Avyavacheecheeh) " is the advice given to the student leaving the portals of his Gurukul Forest University. He is informed of all faculties of knowledge so that he is emerged as a full grown youth after strict observance of abstinence (Brahmacharya). Now the Youngman entering the world is advised to marry and bring forth children so that the family continuity is assured. After the first stage of studentship or Brahmacharya, the student enters the stage of a householder (Grihastha). As a head of the family he has to do several duties like receiving and serving guests, cordially treating the aged parents, respecting elders and finally continuing the pursuit of knowledge (Brahma) without let or hindrance. It is amazing to note how rational and sound principles of living, enunciated by the vedic system. It emphasizes the significance of man's life related to both the material and spiritual spheres, which are important for a man's life to be a complete one.
