Guest guest
PRIYA BHAGAVAT BANDUVULLARA! VOICE OF THE RISHIS:79 COURTESY: SHRI RAPARLA JANARDHANA RAO " YATRA VISWAM BHAVATI EKA NEEDAM " --ATHRVANA VEDA " Where the world is like a nest of birds " , the universal concept envisaged in Vedas is of great significance. Every where in the Vedas, the peace of world, the welfare of the people is stressed and nowhere any parochial fragmented concept is to be found. The universalism lies in every saying of the Vedas. The present text describes the world as a " nest of birds " we have now the " global`village " concept. World history is replete with wars between nations, leading to untold sufferings to the people and unnecessary devastation. The horrors of war are more pronounced on the common man rather than the higher strata of society. Racism, national fanaticism, bigotry, territorial aggrandizement forms the bane of the peaceful existence in the world. Now, World Organizations like UNO` and Human Rights Organizations and Red Cross bring fresh breeze of love, companionship and understanding tolerance to the various states of the world. While nations may maintain their national characteristics, it is in the interest of the world, these should promote steps towards world peace, which helps each and every nation in the end.
