Guest guest
PRIYA BHAGAVAT BANDUVULLARA! VOICE OF THE RISHIS: 82 COURTESY: SHRI RAPARLA JANARDHANA RAO The word `Bhooma' in Chandyogopanishad is defined as infinite, blissful and eternal (Ananta, Ananda and Amrita) " . It is also described as " Mahat Niratisayam Bhavati " or vast, unsurpassed and abundant' in its aspects. The heaven or man's final utopia (or Vaikunta) is thus described to be one of blissful undiminished abundance. That is full of `Sukham' or " Bliss, and amritam, eternal " . Towards the attainment of this heavenly bliss or infinite happiness, all the saints and seers devoted their lives. Rishis through yoga adopted various methods of pranayama to attain what is called Kundalini. Saints like Tyagaraja, Meerabai, Kabir, Tukaram tried to gain this `Ananda' or Bliss through their devotional songs. It is often described in the holy texts, that man should make it his lifetime endeavour to gain this final achievement of bliss, full of eternal happiness, " tat sukham, tat amritam " .
