AATHREYA - PAARVATHI DEVI

 

Paarvathi is a daughter of mountains. Her father

 

is Himavanth , king of moumtains . His kingdom

 

stretches across the entire northern side of

 

Bharath Varsh / Bharath Khand , south of Meru

 

Kailaash and Brahma Maanasa Sarovar , the

 

sacred lake at the foot hills of Kailaash in Thri-

 

Peetth (Tibet) , abode of Holy Trinity .

 

Paarvathi, since Her childhood was a great

 

devotee of Shiva ; She was fully aware of Her

 

previous incarnation as Sathi Devi. Paarvathi

 

decided to marry no one else except Shiva .

 

Her father Himavanth , unlike Daksha , is a

 

very noble and kind gentleman and knew his

 

daughter's devotion to Shiva and gave his

 

consent to Paarvathi to marry Shiva . But

 

Shiva is still greiving for Sathi and became

 

an ascetic and was doing Thapas in Kailaash.

 

Sage Naarada one day came to visit Himavanth

 

and came to know of Paarvathi's wish; Naarada

 

was very happy and told Paarvathi to chant

 

Panchaakshari Manthra " Om NamaSsivaaya "

 

Parvathi Devi undertook prolonged penance

 

and kept on chanting " Om NamaSsivaaya Om "

 

After a long time all The Gods were pleased

 

with Paarvathi and came down to Bless Her.

 

With Brahma presiding as main Purohith with

 

assistance from Bruhaspathi and Sukraacharya

 

and with Vishnu as The main witness along with

 

all Gods Amma Paarvathi Devi was married to

 

Lord Shiva with Himavantha giving away the

Bride. Paarvathi and Shiva left to Kailaash near

 

Brahma Maanasa Sarovar and They are The

 

Perfect role models for all the would-be brides

 

and bride grooms . PAARVATHI is Amma, Mother,

 

Maatha , Mom. SHE is AnnapoorNeswari,

 

Kaasi Visaalakshi, VindhyaachalaVaasini,

 

Kanchi Kaamakshi, Madura Meenakshi ,

 

Vijayawada Kanaka Durga, KanyakaParameswari.
