COURTESY: SHRI RAPARLA JANARDHANA RAO

" VAATAAD VISHNU RBALAM "

--MANTRA PUSHPAM

In every temple and in every holy ritual, it is always a convention

to chant `Mantra Pushpam' fall it the `Hymn Flower' to be offered to

the Lord with utter devotion. It is a treat hear `Mantra Pushpam'

starting with " Om, Sahasraseersham devam, Viswaksahm,

Viswasambhavam " sung in chorus, by the Pundits, priests and learned

devotees present.

In these hymns the infinite forms, ways and varied creations of God,

are specified and recited, extolling the amazing powers of the

Almighty extending the whole universe. Mantra Pushpam should at-

least is read and understood by every devotee, if one cannot

memorize to be able to chant in chorus. This contains the secrets

of Lord's wonderful creation. Hence its importance.

In it, come the most significant question and its answer also

relating to the secret of Lord's power. The question goes " kimtad

Vshnor balam " . Where from (kim) that Lord (Tad Vishno) derives that

power (balam)? It may be seen a very intriguing question to know

the very strength or power of lord's creation and here goes the

answer " Vaatad Vishno Rbala Mahu " , it is from the air (Vataad), that

the Lord derives his power " . How strange? The air is the strength

of the Lord? Yes. Pranayama or yoga gives the full answer.
