Guest guest
Thinking that we have defects is truly invitation to Defects The presumption that we have (possess) defects, is truly an invitation to defects and it confirms and establishes these defects in ourselves. If defects were inherent in us, like our existence, then there would not be an end to these defects in us. Secondly, if defects had been in us, then we would be imperfect always, as these would remain in each one of us, now and forever. But no person is found to be with defects all the time. The imperfections have no existence and flawlessness (perfection) never ceases to be. Deficiencies are not permanent, they come and go and that (Self) which perceives the coming and going, is ever present. Only the one who is flawless, pure and perfect can perceive that which is with faults. This sort of insight does not come to that which is imperfect and deficient. Everyone experiences the coming and going of faults, but no one experiences the coming and going of the Self (Swayam, Soul). This is because the pure Self is ever existing (real), whereas the defects are temporary (unreal). It is we who have given existence to defects, therefore the coming and going of defects are seen by us. If we do not give any existence to these defects, then there is no defects. " Naasatoh vidhyate bhavah " " The unreal has no existence. " (Gita 2:16) Just like when there is Sun, darkness cannot co-exist, similarly the temporary defects cannot remain, in front of the eternal existence. Just like God is flawless and equanimous " Nirdosham hi samam Brahman. " (Gita 5:19), so the Soul, being a part of God is also flawless. " The Self is free from all blemishes. " (Gita 2:25).
