Guest guest
Dear Balasubramanian, Bhakti is eternal, While thanking you for the interest shown on the subject of Art of Living, I would like to bring the following facts, to your kind notice and also to the notice of every one in this Holy Group. I am a doctor by profession, more orthodox in following the principles of our old tradition and thrive for Bhakti. Having been very much moved by the discourses of Pundit Sri Sri Ravishankarji, which are easily understandable to every one for implementation, I felt they are useful to the entire humanity, rather than a particular Religion, Caste or Creed. Further I observed that the flow of language from His Holiness is nothing but devotional. Hence I had set apart some time to forward the same in a phased manner (daily or day by day one) to our brothers, in Telugu Bhakti Group, so that all will understand the supremacy of man kind and also practice in the art of living to fulfill the aim of God who created us. In the course of my efforts, within a span of one month, one of our beloved members had strongly objected the messages of mine including other four members, on the plea that his mail box is being filled with number of messages. On my reply to him, he advised me to be a student in the receiving end rather than a teacher, and to receive the messages instead of sending. I immediately agreed. Only one interesting point is that he is yet to give the list of the teachers, from whom the messages are to be received by the students. At that time another member also corroborated with him, giving a data of messages he receive from 14 sites (Of which only TBP is meant for Bhakti) and expressed his unhappiness in receiving the messages. Of course, he is sending one Kavitha daily for his enjoyment. Further to that none had shown interest on those collections, which I discontinued. In my view, God is in disguise of every human and therefore by making happy of at least two persons in satisfying their desire, I am praying God rather than sending some messages to a group, which may only amounts to self satisfaction. Hope one and all of our members will understand my sentiment. Through your present message and from the phone calls of some other members, I come to know that there are some, who are interested to read the discourses on Art of Living. Those who are interested, are requested to mail me and I will be happy to send some of the available collections to them personally, instead of troubling everybody who is happy to devote Bhakti and love from the present collections in the net. Thanking you, Yours lovingly, Dr.B.G.Y.Sastry. ( bg1938sy ) Note: For the kind information, I am herewith reproducing the observations of those two members without any prejudice:- (1) Great friends and OWNER TBP, Now a days speaking truth and facts is the biggest sin one makes in the current world, Speaking with a sweet tongue, is liked by everybody, - those who are dare enough speak truth even now, - those that do not want to invite problems keep quite, - those who are opportunities speak with honey words - this is the order of the day - no complaints. Some time back, the first thing I used to do was – opening my email and read TELUGU BHAKTI Pages emails, which are so interesting for my personal, religious, devotional life. But now to open my mail box, I am nervous, there is a pile up of 1500 emails. I am not trying to blame any body, but it is a fact, that after our friends: Selvaratnam Selvakumar, bg1938sy, jajisarma, Paritala Gopi Krishna , Doctor.BalaKrishnaMurthy Invading TBP and bombarding my email box with 5 to 10 emails per day, my interested turned in to Fear. In fact I opened a special folder for each of these guys today to move their emails to the respective folder. I am waiting for a blue moon day to come, to open and read their emails. They may be telling good things, but their invasion affected my interest itself. Friends, when we are hungry we can eat 200 or 300 grams of rice, if starved for a few days may be 1 Kg of rice, but you cannot eat for a week, month or year in one shot. Similarly our mind cannot digest so many things in one day, may be good. Last time when I made a comment, people advised me to stop reading the emails, not interesting. But here situation is different. So as wise people do the best and the TBP moderator should take active part and restrict people to send emails, may be excellent, at the most one per day, then TBP becomes a real useful one. Reddy M Madhusudhana Reddy Parvathaneni --------------------- (2) Dear Sastry garu, Namasthe. At the out set there is nothing personel. I 200% agree that what all you and everybody is saying is correct. But my humble request to all of you is: Think like a good teacher. A teacher is good who just not expose all his knowledge to students, but thinks on the other side of the table and presents information in the right quantiy, of right quality at the right time. In the modern world of machines, man also became a machine, he takes his mental happiness in sprituality, Bhakti. All of us are eager to know and practice more and more. But in the anxity of giving more information we should not kill the interest of others. Perhaps all of us did not had a chance of working like a teacher, but all of us must be students one time or other. Immagine your self in the receiving end and try to do what ever you think is good. I am quite sure that very few percent of rs of TBP are reading all these mails 100% everyday, so try to give good information in a modest quantity. I am not talking about the quality of information. Pointing to DELETE button or telling to are childish acts of immaturity. Make things useful at the reach of others, then every body will really enjoy TBP. Regards, Reddy --\ ------------ Dear friend: I am a member of 14 diffrent . The traffic in those are as follows in terms of the weekly postings: carnaticsangeetham 17 chandassu 6 digitaltelugu 0 divinelovers 0 oldtelugusongs 1 polytopia 2 project_ghantasala 4 racchabanda 35 saarada 0 svaralakshmi 0 105 telugudanam 5 telugusabroad 2 zestpoet 3 If one looks at this information, it is clear to anybody that has unusual traffic. What this also does not tell is that these messages are quite long compared to those in groups like racchabanda, the next one with high traffic. If the intention of the persons who post the messages is that readers should read them and contemplate over them, I am sorry to say that it is physically not possible as people have to spend time in their jobs, with their families and friends, listen to music, etc. So certain deleting decisions have to be taken with the fear that some important messages may be missed. At least this is my experience. Others may be able to read quickly, have better internet connections and are able to understand everything quickly and clearly. No offence meant!
