Offerings and Inner Expressions

" Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah, Sarve Santu Niraamayaah;

Sarve Bhadraani paschyantu, maa kaschid dukhbhaagbhavet. "

" Let all be happy; Let all be free of disease,

Let all experience auspiciousness and joy at all times:

Let no one experiences any pain and sorrow. "

It has also been expressed in the Gita verses -

" Sarvabhoot hite rataah. " (Gita 5:25, 12:4)

After giving others whatever remains, that is considered to

be " Yagyashesh " , i.e. it is the remains from the offerings of

sacrifice. Gita says -

" Yajnashishtaashina h santo muchyante sarvakilbashaih. " (Gita 3:13)

The righteous that eat from the remnants of sacrifice, are released

from all sins. " (Gita 3:13)

" Yanashesh amrutko grahan karanewaale Sanaatanam. " (Gita 4:31)

" Those who partake sacred remnants after a sacrifice (yagna), attain

to the eternal Absolute. " (Gita 4:31)

A karmayogi, offers all objects and things back to the world;

A Jnanayogi, offers it all to nature; whereas

A Bhaktiyogi, offers it all to God.

Offer it to anyone, but simply do not consider it for yourself, this

is the main point. In reality it is not things that will lead us to

our salvation, rather it is our broad, generous and noble feelings

and expressions that will lead us to our salvation. If it was

things, then millionnaires would have easily attained salvation,

whereas ordinary men would have not been able to attain salvation.

In reality salvation is attained by the " tyaagi " - those who

sacrifice for others, not those who accumulate things for

themselves. Salvation happens when we have the feeling of well-being

of all, that all attain salvation, that all remain happy. God is not

influenced by our activity or possessions. He is touched by our

inner feelings and expressions. Therefore in every activity, be

attentive to what is beneficial for others. There is minimal expense

in this, yet the gains are immense.
