Guest guest
PRIYA BHAGAVAT BANDUVULLARA! VOICE OF THE RISHIS: 94 COURTESY: SHRI RAPARLA JANARADHANA RAO " SANGACHCHADVAM, SAMVADADHVAM " --RIGHVEDA 10-19-2 " Let us walk (gachchat) together (sanga) " " Let us talk (vada) together (sam) " . This saying is of great importance for the harmonious living in a community. This is laudable as it stresses on the cordial ways, man should observe in a society. And this is as important in these days of modernity as it was supposed to be in the Vedic ages, as this Vedic verse stipulates. Hence it is said that Vedic sayings or call it " Rishi Vani " is timeless and eternal in its value and acceptability. `Let us walk together and talk together' is an exhortation with a simple image but carries world of significance, embedded in it. Man is a social being and the should learn and adopt all the ways to live in peace and harmony with his fellow beings. This adage indirectly warns man to avoid petty mutual bickering or dissentions and live amicably with others. He should neither be a recluse, deserting social responsibilities, nor should he be ever an anti social element. He should realize his social obligations and contribute his mite to its peace and progress. `Be civil'. How simple, great and social value these Vedic words are even to these days! Let us walk together and talk together in consonance is the Vedic exhortation.
