Some time back I posted a mesage about

 

BUDHA (graha = planet Mercury) where in

 

I mentioned that Budha is the son of Chandra

 

and Thaara and he was adopted by Bruhaspathi,

 

Deva Guru . Under the tutelage of Bruhaspathi ,

 

Budha became erudite and well learned .

 

Budha , I said , became a " BUDDHIMANTHA " =

 

a very wise person. In Telugu we use the word

 

" BUDDHIMANTHUDU " denoting a person who

 

is clever and also well behaved.

 

A friend pointed out to me that my version of

 

spelling " BUDDHIMANTHA " is wrong and it

 

should be " BUDHIMATA "

 

It was also further pointed out to me that English

 

is a dead language and that I should switch to

 

Sanskrit in Devanagari Script and in fact several

 

friends asked me the same ,to write Slokas in

 

Devanagari Script ; but I learnt all my Sanskrit

 

using Telugu Script with which I am more

 

comfortable , but Telugu Script can not reach

 

many and I prefer to continue todo what I am

 

doing using English .

 

I am good at Sanskrit but poor in Devanagari.
