AATHREYA - ReNuka Devi , a minor lapse

ReNuka is a King's daughter . She married

Jamadagni of Bhrigu lineage and bore Him

six sons of whom noteworthy are Vatsa and

Lord Parasuraama aka Bhaargavaraama.

Vatsa is the founder of Sri Vatsa lineage.

ReNuka is a noble and chaste lady , but one

day She saw a Gandharva couple and for a

fraction of a second thought how beautiful the

couple are . As a result of that momentary

maanasic aberration She was not able to do

Her regular domestic chores to a perfection.

At the behest of Jamadagni , Parasuraama

beheaded ReNuka , but immediately asked

Jamadagn to revive ReNuka . During this

process of revival Shakthi aspect of ReNuka

got separated from Her ordinary aspect .

Shakthi aspect became a Goddess ,

RENUKA DEVI and the other aspect stayed

back with her husband Jamadagni. Because

of his hasty decision Jamadagni lost his

Thapo sakthi and ReNuka became a normal

House-wife devoid of Sthree Shakthi.

See what happens to even sages when they

abuse their women folk

Parasurama , in remorse, went away to do

penance and wash away His sin.

At a later date when descendants of King Kaartha

VeeryaArjuna are massacring Jamadagni over

a family dispute regarding Jamadagni's Holy

Cow , ReNuka maatha was helpless except to

call 21 times for Parasuraama to come and help

and ended up committing Sathi Herself.

This led Lord Parasuraama to wreak vengence on

the Kings , going round Earth 21 times and killing

the bad Kings starting with Kaartha VeeryaArjuna's

descendants.

0M THATH SATH.
