SRI MAATRE NAMAHA

JAI GURUDEVA DATTA

Sri Aadisankaracharya the Jagadguru wrote several stotras for

common people for thier upliftment from MAYA to TRUTH. Gradually by

rendaring this Stotrss one can get the blessings of ALMIGHTY in

which he can attain the truth at the end. The purpose of stotra is

helping the deciple to get MOKSHA even at the end by " NAMASMARANA " .

In this 'Kaliyuga' the " Namsmarana " is the only way in which common

man can get the blessings of ALMIGHTY by which may attain MOKSHA at

end.

In several stotras of Sri Sankaracharya The 'SUVARNA MAALIKAA

STOTRA' is a typical one in which all Sanskrit Alphabets are used

from A to Z i.., Aa to LLA. Thease Alphabets are called as AKSHARA

which means not to going to be ruined. And these are specifically

called as 'BEEJAAKSHARA' which are used in 'MANTRA SASTRA' by the

experts in Tantra sastra. " NAMANTRA MAKSHARAM NAASTI " (There is no

Alphabet is available which is not a Mantra). 'SUVARNA MAALIKA'

means a GOLD NECKLES

In this stotra the Acharya used a " MAKUTAM " (a line which

should be added at the end of each sloka). The MAKUTAM is " SAMBA

SADASIVA SAMBHO SANKARA SARANAM ME TAVA CHARANA YUGAM " means O!

Lord Sambho Sadasiva Sankara I am comming under the shelter of your

LOTUS FEET. Let us see some slokas from that STOTRA

" Atha kathamapi madrasanaam twadguana lesaiah visodhayaami vibho

saamba sadasiva sambho sankara saranam me tava charana yugam "

O! Lord! At any cost to day I want to clean my tongue with the

small quantity of water which is called as qualities of SIVA.

" Aakhandala madakhnadana pandita tandupriya chandeesha vibho

saamba sadaasiva sambho sankara saranam me tava charana yugam "

O! Lord! Chandeesa! Vibho! You are eliminated the self ego of

Devendra (the king of Gods) You are having affection on scholers.

" Ibha charmaambara sambara ripurapaharanojjwala nayana vibho

saamba sadaasiva sambho sankara saranam me tava charana yugam "

O! Lord! You belongs to a tribal sect, and You are wearing the

elephent skin as a beautiful dress. You are having the bright third

eye by which you have burnt down the 'Manmadha' the person who is

responsible for the sex desires in between male and female.

" Eesa gireesa naresha paresha mahesha bilesaya bhooshana bho

saamba sadasiva sambho sankara saranam me tava charana yugam "

O! Lord! you are called by your devotees as 'Eesha, Gireesha,

Naresha, Paresha and Mahesha. You are wearing the serpent as a

necklese around your neck.

" Umayaa divya sumangala vigrahayaalingita vaamanga vibho

saamba sadaasiva sambhosankara saranam me tava charana yugam "

O! Lord! The Goddess Lokamaata PARVATI is also called as

UMADEVI. She is " divya sumangala vigrha " (SHE must be worshipped by

every lady who is having husband) SHE embrassed you at your left

side (by which you became ARDHANAAREESWARA).

" Uooree kurumaa magna manaatham dooree kuru mama duritam bho

saamba sadaasiva sambho sankara saranam me tava charana yugam "

O! Lord! I am innocent and having no person to protect me when

ever necessary. Hence I pray you to kindly protect me whenever

necessary duly excusing my mistakes if any. I am also requesting you

to eliminate the sins committed by me with AGNAANA and MOHA.

His name is SIVA means 'SUBHAMKARA' SIVA is the God who

always do Good for all. Such SIVA may bless all of us for always.
