Guest guest Posted September 19, 2007 Report Share Posted September 19, 2007 SRI MAATRE NAMAHA JAI GUURDEVA DATTA MANDALA BRHMANAOPANISHAT (Continuation) The smalest MANDALA BRHMANOAPNISHAT shows the way in getting the vision of ATMA, PARAMAATMA and finally takes the striver for JYOTIRDARSANAM. Hence it is also called as JYOTIRDARSANA VIDYA. The famous yogi Alkur Gollapinni Mallikarjuna Sastry and AVADHUTA Sri Chellaguruki Yerritaata and other great persons trained their deciples in the ATMAVIDYA as said in this UPANISHAT and lead them to ultimate goal through ADHYTMA VIDYA. This UPANISHAT looks simple and easy to understand. But it is difficult to remember and implimentation in daily practice. It is only possible by the grace and mercy of SADGURU. Hence this should be studied with concentration and devotion on GURU. This Upnishat starts with Maharshi Yagnavalkya visit to Suryaloka. The saint asked Lord SURYANARAYANA to tell him about ADHYATMA VIDYA. The Lord Suruyanarayana starts his teachings with 'Yamadyastanga yoga' associated with 'GNANA' Yama, Niyama, Aasana, Prnaayaama, Pratyahaara, Dhyana, Dharana and Samaadhi are called as 'Asthanga Yoga' YAMA means (Bahirindriiya nigraham) getting control on cold and heat. Controlling sleep. Always peacefullness. Control on desires NIYAMAHA (Antarindriya nigraham) includes Gurubhakti, interest on truth way. Satisfaction with the meterial or food whcih is obtained without much hard work. Interested in lonlyness,diversion of mind for lonlyness, not having interest in 'karmaphala' and having 'Vairaagya bhavana' AASANA includes 'sukhasana', wearing ordinary cloth (named as 'nara'in telugu) and siting on that cloth for meditation. PRANAAYAAMA includes control on breathing by pranayama. There are three steps in the pranayama 1.Pooraka = taking breath inside 2.Kumhaka = keeping breath inside 3.Rechaka = leaving the breath out side The above should be controled as below 1.puraka = sixteen times 2.kumbhaka = sixty four times 3.Rechaka = thirty two times PRATYAHARAHA means controlling the mind as it should not go to for happyness available from VISHYA and INDRIYAARTHAS DHYANAM :- Each and every life is having chaitanya in common form.
