In the Relationships Itself, Learn the Highest Truth

 

Some individuals are of the belief that if they gain spiritual

knowledge, then their dealings in relationships in the world will

suffer and not be proper, and when their relationships in the world

are good, then God will not be realized. Holding on to such beliefs

is not correct thinking. In Gita, both these paths - spiritual and

living in the world, are connected. If your dealings in the world

are good, then both worldly and spiritual matters will improve. Both

relationships in the world will also be satisfactory and spiritual

pursuits will also be satisfactory. In relationships itself, learn

the highest truths, the spiritual knowledge, leading to salvation.

 

Unlike the case of a compassionate judge, who is unable to do

complete justice. And if he is wholely and entirely focused on

justice, then he will be unable to be compassionate. If he is

compassionate, then he might have to become partial, become more

lenient or reduce the sentence. Therefore he is unable to practice

justice entirely. And if he is entirely practicing justice, then how

will there be compassion ?

 

But when it comes to God, God is both compassionate and just. In

case of God, there is no controversy, because the laws and

principles laid out by God are such that in those laws itself there

is compassion. Just like God has said - " In the end stage of life,

that which a man contemplates on, accordingly will be his future. "

 

" yum yum vaapi smaran bhavam tyajattyante kalevaram

Tam tamevaiti kaunteya sadaa tadbhaavabhaavitah. "

 

The law has been established such that whatever the feelings, inner

expressions that are contemplated on when a man leaves, he in the

future manifests himself in his new life, according to the same

inner expressions. According to the things thought about at the end

stage, the next life is determined. " Unt mati, so gati. " This is

God's justice. He clearly states that at the end stage, if you

remember to Me, then you will attain Me.

 

In this message from God, there is so much compassion. For the same

price and effort that a man can buy a dog's life, he can buy God

Realization. What have you to loose, tell me? If you are remembering

a dog at the time of death, then you will attain a dog's life, while

if you are remembering God at the time of death, then you will

attain God. And since these are the established laws, anyone can

follow or practice. The contemplation that can lead to 8.4 million

species of life forms, that same contemplation can also lead to God.

Once and for all the birth and death cycle can be entirely wiped

out. This is the law. It is both law and compassion.

 

Similarly, by improving your relationships in the world, the

spiritual life is also improved. By maintaining proper relations and

doing service in the world, the spiritual life is not hampered.

However if you engage in lies, falsehood, cheating, deviousness then

in that the spiritual life will also suffer. People see gain in all

these actions, but there is no gain whatsoever.
