Guest guest
Prayer <http://gurumaa.com/prayer-celebration-gratitude-to-god.php> Prayer cannot be reduced to a method where it can be taught. That which can be learned by mind will not be bigger than mind and such a prayer cannot blossom one's heart. Praying is thankfulness, a gratitude towards the unseen existence which is giving bountiful of blessings. If your mind is full of desires, wants - then how will you be thankful and what for? Prayer is not asking, seeking this or that, prayer is not complaints, grudges; on the contrary, it is celebration, rejoicement. One cannot learn how to pray but one can definitely learn to empty the heart of all cravings, all those things which make you more and more dependent on things and people, un-attaching our mind from body - senses and the constant need for gratification. When we are looking for appreciations, applauds to boost our ego there certainly won't be any need or room for prayer. Praying happens to those who have seen how futile this world is and even if you become emperor of this whole universe, one stroke of death ends your glorious story to dust. Prayer is contemplation, moving inwards. Prayer is not done for someone but it is movement towards our core. --from-- www.gurumaa.com <http://www.gurumaa.com>
