AATHREYA - NETHER WORLDS

 

There are Seven Nether or Under Worlds.

 

Depending upon the situation , Earth may occupy the

 

position of Upper Worlds as It probably did in Sathya ,

 

Threthaa Yugams and to certain extent in Dwaapara Yug,

 

but gradually It may be slipping into a part of Under World

 

System. Sanaathana Vedic Rishis were wise enough to

 

realise this , but Great that They are , They recognized the

 

importance of Our Solar System and gave a Pre eminent

 

status to Sun . But some egoists thought that The Universe

 

is Geo-centric and intolerant of people who thought otherwise.

 

Ultimately wiser counsels prevailed and all people came to

 

accept the Sanaathana Vedic Rishi view point that The

 

Universe is Helio-centric. Om Thath Sath. Om Shaanthi.

 

Now all is not lost in Under worlds - in fact the description,

 

Upper and Under in relation to Earth is only relative.

 

The Seven Nether or Under Worlds are as follows : -

 

1. Athalam , 2. Vithalam , 3. Suthalam , 4. Thalaathalam ,

 

5. Mahaathalam , 6. Rasaathalam and 7. PaathaaLam.

 

Please note ' Sthalam " is derived from ' Thalam ' .

 

Sthalam means Bhoothalam = Earth , meaning Earth is

 

neither Upper nor Under and as mentioned before it may fit

 

into either of descriptions.

 

Yama Dharma Raaja Naraka Lokam , Naaga LOkam are part of

 

these Under Worlds. There are some Great people inhabiting

 

These Under Worlds . Mahaa Bali Chakravarthi is one of the

 

Greatest biding His time there waiting for the time He can assume

 

the post of Indra Padavi.and move to Amaraavathi.

 

SankarhaNa and Aadi Sesha are there . Aadisesha is in charge

 

of PaathaaLamand is performing the stupendous task of bearing

 

the Universe on His 1000 heads with Mahaa Vishnu resting on

 

His coils. Mahi RaavaNa aka MairaavaNa once ruled over one

 

of these Under Worlds. Om Pithru- Maathrubhyo Namaha Om.
