Professor Anil Kumar has presented this talk as an extra satsang. He

has selected important messages Baba has imparted to the students

gathered around Him during the afternoon sessions on the verandah at

Prashanti Nilayam.

A. Successful man will always carry with him this trait of gratitude

and here in this we have got two points:

Bhagavan said: " Always remember the good that others have done to

you...Always forget the good that you have done to others.

Why, if you remember the good that you have done, you will be

expecting something in return, you will be expecting some act of

grace, some act of thankfulness. some act of memory, thanks, so no

expect ion.

Forget any good that you have done to others. Remember all the good

unto by you others. "

The second thing Swami always says is " Remember the harm you have

done unto others. Forget the harm others have done unto you.

If you remember the harm done unto you by others, you will be

revengeful, you will be full of vengeance...You will be full of

retort and retaliation.

Well, that is not the quality of a successful man. Forgive and

forget. One. " That is what Bhagavan said.

Another important point for a successful man or for common man for

the matter: Life is too short to find faults with others. Life is too

short when we go on thinking of all the faults of others, our end

will be so fast, so near...Instead of that, why can't we have plus

points, instead of thinking of negative minus points of others, as a

successful man.

That is what Bhagavan has said:

Seek not others, " faults

seek out your own faults

seek others " merits

Find out others' others merits

Find your own faults.

This is the quality of successful man...

And the Holy Bible says:

" Judge not lest thou shall be judged. "

This is an essential quality. Last bit not least: Positive attitude
