Guest guest
UNDERSTANDING ANGER: Anger is madness in miniature. When a person grows angry the reason rides out. Fury and anger carry the mind away. To be angry is to revenge the faults of others upon us. Shakespeare says: `Anger's my meat; I sup upon myself.' Anger is like those ruins that break themselves against what they fall upon. It's true that anger is never without a reason, but seldom with a good one. By controlling the anger of a minute, one may avoid the remorse of a lifetime. It is better to forsake anger than waiting and letting it forsake us. Forgiveness is good for the body as well as the soul. Saying the words, " I forgive you " could be the most powerful thing we could ever do. Forgiving doesn't mean giving in. It means to let go. Once we forgive, we are no longer emotionally handcuffed to the person who has hurt us. – Firoz Bakht Ahmed prof laxmi narain (prof_narain) Source and courtesy: Sri Ramana Kendram, Hyderabad This article was published in Sri Ramana Jyothi, monthly magazine of the Kendram.
