Guest guest
VEDANTA – the science of self-management focuses on attitude or the inner working of the mind. It hones our skills and helps re- engineering our inner personality. To excel we need a combination of a tranquil mind and a sharp intellect. Vedanta provides the method by which we can gain this blend. Start with motivation. Most people are driven with deficiency motivation. We may feel the lack of a better home or a car or a fancier job and so on. This is what drives people to strive. The down side of this negative approach is that it always keeps us in an agitated state of mind and tends to fixate on what we don't have. We should look at all the things we are blessed with. Otherwise as Shakespeare has put it, we will only be " making a famine where abundance lies,/ Thyself thy foe, to thy own sweet self too cruel. " When we are obsessed with one little thing which we don't have, by our own volition we have reduced all we have to naught! – Jaya Row prof laxmi narain (prof_narain) Source and courtesy: Sri Ramana Kendram, Hyderabad This article was published in Sri Ramana Jyothi, monthly magazine of the Kendram.
