Therefore, having made God his be-all and end-all, the summum bonum, the one thing alone worth striving for, worth being constantly centred in, all other things become as nothing to the real devotee, to the real bhagavat-remi. And therefore, no matter what happens, he is not perturbed. He says: " Yes, but it is not important. Let things happen. Whatever it be, I shall endure it and bear it. Because, I am concerned not with them, I am concerned with God, I am concerned with the supreme Divine REality. " Thus becoming firmly convinced of the importance of that one and only Being called God, and that all other lesser things are not important, n ot worthwhile becoming upset or worried about, not worthwhile becoming agitated about, the devotee of the Lord, the lover of the Supreme One, is ever in a state of serenity, of inner balance in all situations, under all conditions, no matter what happens to him or the world or anyone else. " God alone is real, God alone is important, the one Supreme Value. God alone I take seriously. Other things, I allow to happen as the Supreme Being wills: Thy will be done. Whatever be Your will, that I bow down to, I accept. Thou art all-knowing, all-wise, omnipotent, all-powerful. Waht you will, You can do. Inasmuch as You are doing everything with full wisdom, I am not here to question You but to accept. " So he is in a state of acceptance. Never agitated, ever serene, knowing the whole world is in the hands of God. 'Let things happen as they are. He knows. He has the power to do anything He wants. He has the wisdom to know what is the right thing. And He does it with infinite love and infinite compassion. Therefore, I do not question. " Thus the devotee is established in a state of sereness, fully trusting in the all-wisdom, the all-love the all-justice and the all-ability of God. Contd....
