Guest guest
SRI MATRENAMAHA JAI GURUDEVA DATTA We have to worship SUN for perfect health. Worshipping SUN also gives us the effect of worshiping Sri Maha Vishnu as SUN is the PRATYAKSHA NARAYANA SWARUPA. Worshipping SUN also gives us the effect of worshipping the Goddess GAYATRI. The SUN in male form is called as SAVITRU or SURYA and in female form as SAVITRI. He is also called as SAVITA in nutral form. He is 'trigunatmaka' and 'Trimurti swrupa' also. As such worshipping SUN amounts to the worshipping of TRIMURTI i.e. Brhama, Vishnu and Maheswara,in which the upasaka shall make a way for his eternal goal. If any one wants to perform Puja, he has to go to a temple of particuler daity and he has to take strain to see the Lord or Goddess waiting in a que for his turn duly spending money to offer flowers and fruits etc. " Alankara priyo vishnuhu Abhisheka priya ssivaha " In worshipping VISHNU the devotee has to spend money for decoration of Lord and in worshipping Lord Siva he has to take strain to get water for ABHISHEKAM etc., But the devotee need not take strain to go to a temple nor spend money in worshipping SURYA (SUN). The SUN shall be happy by a simple action such as offering PRANAMS whole heartedly by his devotee. That's why the SUN is called as NAMASKARA PRIYO BHANUHU. Any day when the SURYA is not visable due to clouds etc., that day is called as DURDINA (very bad day) as SURYA is 'lokabandhava' (related to each and every one) Only two persons are eligible to cross SURYALOKA after their death enroute to their destination MOKSHA. The first person is YOGI and the next person is the soldier who died in battle field duly fighting with his enemy. There are several names to Lord SURYA as Dyumani etc., But only twelve names are prominent and those names are considered highly importent in SURYA UPASANA. 1. MITRA 2. RAVI 3. SURYA 4. BHANU 5. KHAGA 6. PUSHA 7. HIRANYA GARBHA 8. MAREECHI 9. AADITYA 10.SAVITRU 11.ARKA 12.BHASKARA When Lord SRI RAMA was tired in the battle with Ravana, the great Maharshi " AGASTYA " came to Lord Sri Rama and asked him to worship the Lord SUN by AADITYA HRUDAYAM. Then Srirama worshipped SUN and got victory over Ravana. The Storam " AADITYA HRUDAYAM " is capable to give victory to those who strive even today. The SUN may showers His blessings on all of us.
