And so the philosopher engages in action. The realised sage also engages in action. This is the art and science of Yoga in daily life. This is the art and science of applied Vedanta, of spirituality in the midst of the material set-up of earth life -- to blend and harmonise or to keep them together. And it is what one has to learn from life as one progresses towards the Goal. The Srimad Bhagavad Gita gives us much wisdom, much guidance, much light, much sustenance, much strength, much consolation. It has a great deal to say; it has much to give us. Mahatma Gandhi, who lived a very checkered and full life with many things to attend to, many things to tackle, many things to deal with, said: " Gita is m y mother. I have ever kept the Gita close to my heart. In times of stress, in times of dire difficulty, in times of the greatest trials and deepest agony, the gita has never failed me. I have always turned to the Gita and found light, guidance, solace and inner strength. " It is a living momument of the highest philosophy and deepest wisdom and at the same time, practical wisdom. This is how we should relate ourselves to the Srimad Bhagavad Gita wisdom teachings. Little by little let us imbine the Gita. Let it be the light of our life, our inner strength. For the Gita is God's own wisdom teachings through His own divine lips and His own golden words. Let us realise the worth and value of what God has granted to us through these wisdom teachings.
