Height of Summer - ROHINI KARTHE means sojourn of Ravi in RohiNi Nakshathram. Sun stay in one Nakshathram for fourteen days , hence a Kaarthe lasts for 14 days. Aadithya stays in one Paadam of one Nakshathram for 3 and a half days. Kaashyapa's sojourn in BharaNi Nakshathram is known as Dollu Kathera or Kaarthe. Vivaswanth's stay in Krutthika Nakshathram is known as Nija Kathera. Bhaanu's stay in RohiNi Nakshathram is known as Agni Kathera.
