Guest guest
Shirdi is a place where great devotees of Maharashtra have tread on. Eknath, Gnaneshwar, Tukaram, Ramdas, Mirabai ant host of devotees visited that place and sang the glory of God. God loves the place of devotees. So Baba chose Shirdi for his abode. Nasik, Trayambakam, Pandharpur and a host of pilgrim center are close to Shirdi. River Godavari also is nearby. Therefore, Baba has chosen Shirdi for his stay on earth. Blessed are the people o Shirdi. They are able to get Baba as a resident of their village. I an obscure place, there is now a diamond - Baba is that bright pearl making Shirdi powerful. The words of Gangagir Buwa are cent percent true. Shirdi is the Gurusthan of Sai Baba. Since he did not want to be away from his master's place, he continued to stick to the Gurusthan, worshipping the master, meditating on the master and merging in the master. Sai Baba with all devotion to the master lived in the Gurusthan and the master, like a mother showered his grace fully on Baba. Sai Baba can't bear separation from his Guru even for a moment. Therefore, how can he leave Shirdi? Baba says about his Guru, " I restored to My Guru for 12 years. He brought Me up. There was no dearth of food and clothing. He was full of love or say, he was love incarnate. How can I describe it? He loved Me most. Rare is a Guru like him. When I looked at him, he seemed as if he was in deep meditation and then, we both were filled with bliss. Night and day, I gazed at him, with no thought of hunger and thirst. Without him, I felt restless. I thought of him always and kept myself incessantly engaged in his service. He is my protector. I take refuge at his feet. I offer myself to him in total self surrender. My mind was always fixed on him. He did not expect anything from me. He was never indifferent to me. Like a mother, he protected me. I was always clinging to him. Even if I was a little away from him physically for a short time, I felt secure on account of his love. By his very look, he protected me. Have faith in your master. Don't disbelieve him. He will protect you. He will bless you. He will save you. He will take you to the top. He who knows the master to be wise, omniscient and omnipotent will certainly attain the highest. Guru is no other than Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwara in one, Guru's grace is but divine grace " That means Sai Baba carne to Shirdi with his master. He stayed with his Guru. It is only after the Guru had left the world that Sai Baba came to the open. He proclaimed publicly, the greatness of his master. Sai Baba's Gurusthan is Shirdi. " Would you like to come with me? I will show you what you want, but he alone who believes in what I say, will be successful " . This proclamation of the master was implicitly observed by Sai Baba and he stayed at Shirdi. What the master said and the place which the master selected were made pure and famous, true and practical, real and great by Sai Baba. What is the greatness of Shirdi? What is the difference between Shirdi and other places? (to be contd..)
