Guest guest
Ego identified with the body due to past actions or Karmajam: Ego identified with deha or body is Karmajam. All our acations have a cause-effet relationship. Our present actions in this world are influenced by our past actions. One cannot live without actions. To perform actions, one needs a body. Actions, which are performed, yield results. One needs a body to enjoy the results. As actions and results of actions manifest themselves at different times, the same body may not be in a position to experience them. The ego identified with the body which says 'I am a girl' or 'I am a doctor', etc., is due to our past actions or Karmajam. In actual fact, the ego by self is neither a boy nor a girl nor a child, as it is not limited by this body or to this body. The body is made up of the five elements -- space, air, fire, water and earth. This body by itself is inanimate, without life; without sentience. It is when consciousness enters the intellect, the intellect enlivens the body. This is when one thinks that the body is functioning and alive. When this hapens, the sentient ego is superimposed on the body, and the gender or colour of the body is superimposed on the ego. Contd...
