Once a youth approached Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi and said, 'Bhagavan, I

have read a number of books on Vedanta. They all describe different

paths to salvation. I have also visited a number of learned people and

when I ask them, each recommends a different path. I am puzzled and

have come to you; please tell me which path to take'. With a smile on

His face, Bhagavan said " All right, then go the way you came " .

 

In order to extinguish ego, there are trhee well-known paths advised by

our Rishis.
