To prove her innocence, Sita entered fire, and to the unspeakable joy of each and every one, Agni, the god of Fire, came out with Sita, declaring her to be of unsullied purity, and bade Rama take her back as his wife. Rama's joy knew no bounds and after installing Vibhishana, the brother of Ravana, on the throne of Lanka, he returned to Ayodhya with Sita, Lakshmana, Vibhishana, Sugriva and Hanuman, the most faithful and devoted Bhakta of Sri Rama. Great were the rejoicings at Ayodhya at the return of Rama after fourteen long years, and Rama along with Sita was crowned by the sage Vasishtha as the King of Ayodhya. So began the long and prosperous reign of Rama which the bards agree in recording in one voice as the 'Golden AGe' of Ayodhya, for they say: Contd....
