AATHREYA – Vaali and Sugreeva

 

 

 

Vaali and Sugreeva are two brothers who misunderstood each other.

 

They are brothers with a mutual suspicion.

 

Vaali is elder to Sugreeva.

 

Vaali is more powerful physically , spiritually and psychologically.

 

Vaali is aware of greatness of Sri Raama and is respectful to Him.

 

Sugreeva did not know Sri Raama and as usual was afraid of Sri Raama,

 

when he first came across Sri Raama

 

Sugreeva is a weakling , easy going , laid back and prone to drink

 

and other worldly pleasures.

 

Sugreeva is afraid of his elder brother Vaali and even a bit jealous.

 

Then an opportunity arose and Vaali had to go away to fight a mighty enemy .

 

Sugreeva blocked his brother's entry into Kishkhinddha , Vaali's Kingdom

 

and proclaimed himself a King and indulged in his drink and other pleasures.

 

When Vaali was shot down by Sri Raama , Vaali recognized Sri Raama ,

 

and felt sorry for himself , apologized to Sri Raama , and at the same time

 

informed Sri Raama that he could have easily defeated RaavaNa Brahma

 

as he has already done so long time before. But it is not to be.

 

So it is Sugreeva who is addicted to alcohol , but not Sri Raama .

 

Brothers should trust each other , but none can escape Astrological forces.
