and you alone,

I composed

these thirty songs,

one for each day of the month.

Please

stand before me

and say

I am pleased.

 

You,

who bore the weight

of the Mount Manthara

on your back

when the milky ocean

was churned for ambrosia,

blessed the gopi girls of yore.

Bless me too Lord

in a similar fashion.

 

You,

broad-shouldered Lord

of the queen of prosperity,

listen,

I am the fair daughter

of the pious priest.

May only the good

befall those who

recite these songs

with devotion in their heart.
