Guest guest
Why Must We Worry? That which is going to happen, will inevitably happen, and that which is not going to happen, will never ever happen, then what is the point in worrying? There is no need to worry about the maintenance of this body; on the other hand, it is essential to be concerned about what happens after this body leaves. There is nothing we need for the our Self; because there is nothing lacking in the Self, whereas, whatever the body wants is predetermined according to what is destined (through praarabdh), then what is the reason to worry? From God's side, all necessities for our sustenance have been pre- arranged, but arrangement are not their for indulgence and enjoyment of pleasures. Therefore one should give up the worries about essential needs, provisions for life sustenance and also give up desire for enjoyments. Whatever God does and will do, is for our well-being! Having faith in this understanding, one must remain at ease and free of worries in all circumstances and situations. Worries and sorrow are not due to lack of things, rather it is due to ignorance and foolishness. This foolishness can be wiped out with Satsang (association with spiritual truths, good company (of holy men, scriptures etc.) As man begins to leave worries related to his body, then the world begins to take over the concerns and worries related to his body. Worries and fear come when that which should not be done, is done and that which ought to be done, is not done. God knows more than us, He is more capable than us and He is more compassionate and merciful than us, then why must we worry? When dependence is on God, no worries are capable of remaining.
