Guest guest
Sri Guru Kripa S. Syama Rao We are indeed blessed to have the privi-lege of moving with and listening to the teachings of our Sadguru Sri Saipadananda Radhakrishna Swamiji. He has come to the rescue of many devotees whenever they are in troubles. I only feel it is my 'purvajanma sukrita' that I have been drawn to the feet of our Sadguru, and taking a little part in the activities of Sri Sai Spiritual Centre. At the very thought of our Swamiji and Sri Baba, I have overcome many difficulties and troubles. I would like to narrate here a very recent incident, which shows the abundant love and compassion our Swamiji has for his children. I was transferred from Bangalore to Trivandrum in May 1978 and from Trivandrum to Calicut in 1979. I have been trying for a transfer to Bangalore ever since April 1979. On June 1981, I received a transfer order from Madras, our regional office, transferring me to Bangalore. However, due to my own folly in not getting relieved on the same day and proceeded to Banga-lore, I had to stay for more than four months. I had been patiently waiting for relief from Calicut. As no candidate was forthcoming to relieve me at Calicut, I was not relieved. I was very much worried about my transfer and even feared that my transfer might not come through in the near future. One day when I was in prayer, it struck me that I should go to Madras and meet our Regional Manager and explain my difficulties. So I decided to go to Madras immediately on a Saturday night, meet our Manager and come back on Sunday night. Accordingly I left for Madras. As soon as I reached Madras, I straight proceeded to Mylapore, took a room in a hotel and after my bath, I proceeded to Sri Sai Mandir. I prayed at the feet of our Swamiji and Baba, and was then going round (doing 'Pradakshina') in the prayer hall of Sri Narasimha Swamiji, where a photo of our Swamiji is also hung on a wall. While I was doing the third pradakshina, I was prostrating at the photo of our Swamiji, and when I opened my eyes, I saw to my great surprise a white flower on the floor, to the right side of our Swamiji's photo. It was a great surprise to me because, there was no garland on the photo, and I did not remember to have seen any flowers near the photo, during my earlier two 'pradakshinas'. I took it as blessings from our Swamiji and then proceeded to the residence of our Manager. Our Manager was available when I went there and before I could open the topic, he introduced me to his wife saying 'this is Syama Rao, from Calicut on his way to Bangalore. I took this oppor-tunity to explain to him of my troubles and requested him to transfer me to Bangalore. He appreciated the situation and readily agreed to transfer me and asked me to tell the local Manager, that he could manage the work without me for some time till a permanent substitute was posted. I went back to Calicut, met our Manager and apprised him of my discussions at Madras. He also readily agreed to relieve me and immediately telephoned our Regio-nal Manager of his willingness. After two days I received my transfer orders and I joined duty in Bangalore. I am more than convinced that it is entirely due to the love and compassion our Swamiji showered on me, that I got my transfer to Bangalore. He not only blessed me with a transfer to Bangalore, but also indicated the same in advance during my 'pradakshina' in the prayer hall of Sri Narasimha Swamiji. My family and myself are ever grateful to our Swamiji and Sri Baba and pray to Him daily to lead us in the righteous path. Jai Sri Swamiji and Jai Sri Baba.
