There are 7 (most important) chakras in the body. Namely:

Mooladhara - Located at the bottom of the Backbone

Swadhistana - about 4 inches above the Mooladhara chakra (Backbone)

Manipura - at the Naval region (Backbone)

Anahata - Hridaya Pradesa (Backbone)

Visuddhi - Kanta Pradesa (Top of Backbone)

Ajna Chakra - Bhru Madhya (between eye brows)

Sahasrara - Crown of the Head (Top)

As the dormant Kundalini shakti(at Mooladhar) gets awakened and

reaches the Sahasrara chakra, the sadhaka experiences the eternal bliss.
