Guest guest
Posted by: " Ahamed Imam " idealimam idealimam Mon Jun 23, 2008 6:14 pm (PDT) In English what is the difference between HOUSE and HOME? Answers: A house is just a structure, home is " where the heart is " i.e. it's intangible; much like the difference between your brain and your mind. Home is formal, house is familiar. Same difference as Father and Dad. myself i generally refer to a house as the building and a home as the building being lived in by people one and the same...this is my house..I am going home.. House is a building which people can reside, it will become your home once u started to live in that, in other way house will become emotionally attached to you then it will become a home. I usually say the properties i have where i do not reside as house. A house is a dwelling place built for that purpose. A HOME, on the other hand, is a place (whether built or not) where a person feels a sense of belonging. Home is a place where you keep your things, where you have some sense of security, where you can have some kind of privacy from the outer world. A house is not a human need, but a home is. Homeless people do not have houses, but they still are driven to create some semblance of a place to belong. A home is not always a house (could be a cave or a cardboard box). A house is not always a home (people who live with others against their wishes will not consider their house to be " home).
