Guest guest
Radhe Krishna To All, Excerpts from a discourse by our Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji: Everyone in the world desires to study higher and higher, attain high fame and status and earn a lot. This is in accordance with the nature and understandable to the senses. We have known and witnessed the pride of those who have earned so much, yet, we are not able to attain it ourselves by hard work, owing to our sheer laziness. We expect to achieve these somehow miraculously. This given, concepts such as God, rebirth, other worlds, Moksha, or the bliss attained through Moksha, -- all these cannot be seen by our naked eyes. They are subtler concepts. Firstly, it is difficult to merely turn our vision inward; also, neither the goal to attain, nor the bliss that would result is visible; something that has never been seen. Such being the state, if someone has attained the right Guru and has gotten interested in spirituality, then that has happened only through sheer compassion of God. A self realized Jivan Mukta appears once in a generation. If you are lucky, you will get the company of such a person. Just like a cool shade which soothes someone who has walked a long distance under the sun, those beings who have been attacked by the sorrows of the world frequent such Mahãns, and cool themselves down by listening to Bhãgavatam, performing Nãma kirtan and participating in the Lord’s utsavs. In order to help such people, many may stay in the Ãshram and involve themselves in cooking, serving food, taking care of the cows, accounting and cleaning places including toilets. Even if a householder does any amount of pooja, he will expect a worldly benefit out of it. But for those who perform service in the Ãshram, for the sake of the Guru, the Guru’s darshan is their only desire. These people will definitely attain Moksha, whether or not their Guru attains it.†Chant the Mahamantra Nama kirtan : Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare ----------------------- If you have any questions or doubts concerning Spirituality, Mental peace or problems in life or about dharma, please write to us by clicking here: http://www.namadwaar.org/answers/askquestion.php His Holiness Sri Sri Swamiji personally answers these questions for you and suggests prayers. ---------------------------
