Guest guest
There is nothing more certain in our lives than change. Yet many of us fear change and make elaborate plans to avoid it. We fear the new and find comfort and stability of the known and familiar. But to grow, you need to not only accept change, but to embrace it, joyfully. Think of a flowing stream as representing your life. In some places it flows smoothly, with barely a ripple as it travels on its journey. At other places along the way, obstacles create great turbulence' the water roars and thunders and it crashes through the gorges and down steep falls. These represent both the easy and difficult times you experience. Yet, a stream may have a place where the water becomes banked up, stagnant, unhealthy. Here, nothing thrives and nothing changes. When the rushing waters of change into your life, for change means growth and spiritual health. Embrace each new direction you encounter with courage and enthusiasm. It's the key to a happier you. Just because you've never done it, doesn't mean you can't. Though it may be new and different, it is still within your reach. For you can learn, you can adapt, you can improve and then improve some more. Start something new, commit to it, and you might be amazed at how far you can go. Each new skill you master makes your existing skills and knowledge more valuable and more useful. Thus the relatively small amount of effort it takes to learn something new can end up paying off in a big way. Start something new, and your level of confidence can increase dramatically. Start something new, and you experience a whole new, interesting, exciting corner of the world. Yes, it takes some initiative on your part to get started on something new. Once you get going, though, your energy level will increase to more than meet the demand. Start something new in your life. The richness you'll gain is well worth the effort.
