Why do we exchange plate with Betel leaves and then offer the same to the lord

while performing Pooja’s?

 

Sri.Sri.Muralidhara Swamiji:

 

The qualities of each betel leaves are unique and we are ignorant off.

 

There is a plant called ‘Pathala Bhairavi’ which develops enmity.

 

There are herbs which can change Iron into Gold.

 

There are certain Herbs which can give money;

 

there are certain herbs which can make things invisible too.

 

Betel leaves develop friend ship and that is the reason those days, other than

official meetings the exchange of Beetle leaves were traditionalized and

followed.

 

Exchange of Betel leaves will enhance the relationship between Husband and wife,

Lord & devotee.

 

A saint is denied this tradition since he should not have any attachment with

anything.

 

Due to the above reason the exchange of Betel leaves was followed after the

poojas and in social family gatherings
