Guest guest
Nature of a Saint Saints do not have any pride. They are beloved and precious to Bhagwaan (God), and they consider everyone to be great. " Siya Raammai sab jag jaani; Karu pranaam jori jug paani. " (Manas. Balakaand, Doha 8:2) " Recognizing the entire creation as full of Sita and Raam, I pay obeisance to them, with joined palms. " (Manas. Balakaand, Doha 8:2) All the men that are there, they are all our Raamji and however many women that are there, they are all Sitaji - Maa (Maata). This is their sentiment. 'Mein sewak, sacharaachar roop Swami bhagawant " - they consider everyone as Bhagwaan (God), therefore in them, no pride can come. They alone appear lovable to Bhagwaan; because " Nij Prabhumai dekhi jagat kehin san karhi birodh " - when everything is filled with divinity, then with whom should we have a conflict, an opposition? During the times of Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, there was a sinner named Jadaayi-Madhayi. Nityanandji had made him recite the name of the Lord, but Nityanandji was badly beaten up by the sinner. Tolerating the beating, he kept telling him to recite the name of Hari! Hari Bol ! Hari Bol ! Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhuji, showered his grace on the sinner, and made him a devotee. Chaitanya Mahaprabhuji had made up his mind to further grace those who were great sinners, very wealthy person or a highly educated and knowledgeable person; because it is very difficult to alert them ! and they will not become cautious and alert simply by solutions, they will not listen about devotion; because they are filled with pride. Chaitanya Mahaprabhuji therefore by His grace made them recite God's name. He engaged everyone in Kirtan - chanting and repeating of God's name. " Jag paalak biseshi jan traataa " - Similarly there was a " Naam Maharaj " , who was the caretaker of even the evil (dushta) ones, he was destroyer of pride of the proud and he engaged them in worship and rememberance of God, and even made ordinary people, turn towards Bhagwaan (God). He engaged all in God, wishing that they may all become the beloved of Bhagwaan. " Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah, Sarve Santu Niraamayaahaa " - not just free of disease, but to become the loving devotee of God, that was the desire of Naam Mahaaraaj. Similiarly, the meeting of a Saint can also result in great virtues, and many gains. Now why is that ? Because in the heart remains the divinity and constant awareness of God, and they wish to serve all. Therefore even by seeing them there is a profound effect. Even thinking about them and listening to their words, can have an impact. As their hearts are pouring and bursting with sentiments of God and sentiments of serving. Therefore their sight, their speech, their touch, their rememberance etc. can have an immense impact on people, and people can be greatly uplifted and benefited. (to be cont'd).
