Below is a message from the Satsang in Houston, TX, USA:

 

Hurricane Ike has ravaged the United States both directly and indirectly. It has

devastated many parts of Texas, homes, friends and neighbors. Uprooted trees and

flattened fences line the landscape. People as far as Ohio have lost their dear

ones. Thousands of people have lost their homes and belongings. A week after the

storm, millions of people are still without power and water; food and gas

supplies are still scarce in many parts of the affected regions. A few cities

like Galveston are facing health crisis. These cities do not have even the

basic resources to support citizen health.

 

Our hearts go out to all those who have been hit by the effects of the

hurricane. All of us fully empathize with those who are suffering and are doing

our best to help them. We cannot fathom Mother Nature. Nor can we fight her.

Nevertheless, we can do our extra bit of help to those suffering, by offering

our prayers. Prayers are the best favor and the highest help we can offer

anyone. And selfless prayers with the Mahamantra work wonders, as we have seen

from our own experiences.

 

Mass Prayer satsangs with 'Hare Rama...' Mahamantra Kirtan is being organized

over the next three weekends in Hindu temples at different parts of Houston.

The first such prayer is organized on Sunday, September 21st, at 9:45 am at

If you happen to live in the Houston area, we request you to join with us for

the congregational prayers over the next three weeks for the sake of our

friends.

loss of power or other facilities, we are confident that divine intervention

you/your friends.
