Guest guest
Social and spiritual life of Telugus is replete with celebrating festive occassions that allow people come together as a community for unified happiness. It is Dasara Navaraatri festival again.During this festival, the energy aspect of almighty is invoked in the form of universal mother, commonly addressed as Durga. For this, Navaraatri is divided into sets of three days to adore various aspects -Ichha Sakti,Kriya Sakti and Jnana Sakti. To invoke this Jnana or wisdom, the reading and listening of Vedas and Puranas is prescribed as a ritual. The devotional listening of Vaamanaavataram episode bestows Jnanasakti in us. Vamana Avatara symbolises a profound spiritual humility which leads to the insight that ego is not Me. Spiritual humility at first appears like a dwarf with the power to outstep the univers in just a few simple steps. The final surrender is symbolised by Bali Chakravarti's request that Lord Vishnu place his foot on his head. As an ego-personality, you want to get the whole world, but you get very little. When the Divine Dwarf is born within your personality, you want only little but you get all.As part of Dasara celebrations we listen 'Vamanavataram' from Narayaneeyam. http://www.archive.org/search.php?query=dr.anjaneyulu%20goli%20AND% 20mediatype%3Aaudio
