Our Telugu people are celebrating Dasaranavaraatri festival with

great ferver.We wish to identify

Mahishasura,Sumbha,Nisumbha,Raktabija,Madhu,Kaitabha and other demons

to eliminate them for peace and bliss. Have you seen them ? Yes !

They are in us in the disguised form of

Dambham,Darpam,Abhimanam,Krodham and Parushyam. These festive

celebrations are to kill them only. We all(may not you) have

Mahishaasura in us. They are the symbolic embodiment of ignorance. We

wrongly superimpose the nature of Self,consciousness and bliss on the

physical body with dehaatmabhaavam which decays is because of

ignorance.

 

Adi Sankara gave us the devotional path with stotras and upadesa

literature for the removal of ignorance.The rituals of reading Sri

Devi Bhagavatam and other stotras remove deep rooted ignorance

evident from the way one enjoys objects which is the cause of sorrow

and samsaara.

Sankara Bhagavatpada's Bhavani Bhujanga Stotram gives great knowledge

of absolute and this self abidence is the only remedy to identify and

eliminate Mahashaasura within us. You are requested to listen Bhavani

Bhujanga stotram.
