Guest guest
Narasimhavataram is having an important place in our Telugu culture. We find several people with names connected to this avatara. There are several Narasimha kshetras also in our Andhra Pradesh. Whenever somebody is angray, we say that he is in Narasimhavataram. It may be due to Potanagari Telugu Bhagavatam which form a great inclusion in Telugu language and literature. . Narasimha Satakam is also very popular with us. The parayanam of Sri Mahabhagavatam is part of traditional Navaraatri rituals. The story of Lord Vishnu's manifestation as Narasimha Avatara has a deep message for all. Even in difficult situations, one must have great faith that God is right there near you, because He is the allpermeating Reality. Further, the soul in every individual is potentially Prahlada. Hiranyakasipu symbolises ignorance or avidya. All the demons in his army represent impurities of the mind, such as anger, hate and greed. When ignorance no longer conditions our mind, we forever enjoy that amazing vision possessed by Prahlada that God is everywhere. We listen to Nrusimhavataravarnanam from Srimannarayaneeyam, a manumental devotional classic written by Brahmasri Melpathur Narayana Bhattari in 1587 A.D. http://www.archive.org/search.php?query=dr.anjaneyulu%20goli%20AND% 20collection%3Aopensource_audio
