Sai Ram. There is a puranic story of Sri Brahma being cursed by Sri Siva and

being declared unfit for worship, because Sri Brahma told a lie. Since Hindu

tradition does not separate the couple (Brahma and Saraswati), Goddess Saraswati

also did not get many temples built for Her, though She is not cursed.

 

Basar near Nizamabad has a very famous temple for Goddess Saraswati (Jnana

Saraswati), and this temple is supposed to be installed by Sage Veda Vyasa

(Vyasa Puri has become Basar over a period of time). There is another temple

near Vargal, about 70 kms from Hyderabad.

 

You may therefore build a temple to Goddess Saraswati if you so desire and you

should consult Agama Pundits for the details. If you are willing, I can put you

in touch with Sri Sankarachrya Swamiji of Hampi Virupaksha Vidyaranya Peetham,

Hampi, near Hospet. Swamiji is fully conversant with such matters.

dear sirs, Goddess Saraswatidevi temples are were not constructed in

our country compare to other Gods and Goddesses temples.Is there any

spiritual aspect for not constructing the Goddess Saraswatidevi

temple. what are things one should follow to start a Goddess

Saraswatidevi temple.. kindly enlighten us regarding devotional

steps in constructing the temple with ashram.. can you tell the list

of existing Goddess Saraswatidevi temples in our country with thier

history.
