Guest guest
The king of Kasi gave a kuteeram for Adi Sankaracharya at Manikarnika ghat. Then Sankara was 11 years old and every one was surprised and thrilled to listen the young sanyaasi. Once, when Sankara was returning along with his disciples after a bath, a chandala blocked his path. On seeing this chandala who is a dog meat eater, his disciples shouted him to move out of the way. Then the same chandala replied, " The Atma is all pervasive,so, if you see me as Atma, then I cannot go anywhere. If you see me as a jada matter, then I have no power to move and I cannot move away from you. " Then Sankaracharya prostrated to that chandala and chanted Manisha panchakam. " The enlightened person, whether he is a chandala or a Brahmin, he is my great teacher 'Guru'. Each of the five slokas in the Manisha Panchakam is considered to be a maha vakya - profound truth. The listening, understanding and practicing the profound truths, one can lead a life of peace and bliss moving in the direction of mukti of Kaivalyam. You are requested to listen to Manisha Panchakam. http://www.archive.org/search.php?query=dr.anjaneyulu%20goli
