A.P Formation Day Greetings - Celebration of Classical Status to Telugu

A.P.Formation Day is very special for all of us. This is an occasion

to rejoice and show our happiness. My greetings to the Telugu Bhakti

Pages group and salutations to our land.

 

Our Telugu language was accorded Classical status joining the league

presently occupied by only Sanskrit and Tamil. To be with Sanskrit is

most welcome to Bhakti group. Only languages which have a proven

antiquity of over 1500 years can qualify for this status. This can

receive a grant of Rs. 100 crores for the development of language with

an opportunity of establishing separate chairs for the language in

different Universities with a due share to bhakti literature.

 

The TBP group congratulates the Official Language Commission which

worked hard for several months to collect evidence to show that

Telugu,indeed, enjoyed a literary history of over 2000 years. TBP

group feel happy and proud that a considerable part of the evidences

include bhakti literature and places connected with religious

importance including that its literature began with 11th century

translation of Mahabharatam. All Telugus are greatful to

Nannayya,Tikkana and Errapragada for seeding the path for classical

status to Telugu Language.

 

Let our Telugu Bhakti Pages group offer garlands filled with fragrance

of love to our Telugutalli,the beloved mother of Telugus. We pay our

respects to eminent Telugu people who made us rich in the areas of

Culture,Literature,Agriculture,Medicine,Engineering,

Cenema,Industry,Imigration,Science,Education,Politics,Administration,

Philosophy,Bhakti and in other areas.
