Sutra 22:

 

Tatrapi na mahatmyajnana-vismrityapavadah.

 

Even there (the love of the Gopis), there is no particular reason for

forgetting the glory and greatness of Lord.

 

Sutra 23:

 

Tadvihinam jaranamiva

 

A love without (the sense of greatness of the object loved -- " the

Lord " ) is simply a passion of a woman towards her paramour.

 

Sutra 24:

 

Nasthyeva tasminstatsukha-sukhitvam

 

There, i.e., in that illicit love there can certainly never be

happiness of the other.
