The Sloka is: ''Hiranyavarnaam harineem suvarna rajaathastrajam, Chandraam hiranmayeem lakshmeem jatha vedo ma aavaha.'' She is addressed as Chandram, since She too is born from the same Milky Sea and is thus a sister of Chandra. " Chandram, Chandra Sahodareem... " sings Sri Lakshmi Ashtottara Sata Nama Stotram.
