Guest guest
Hi, I would like to know Why Do We Blow out Our Birthday Candles?? Is this followed in Hindu culture or any way related to Hindu traditions?? But we Hindus feel blowing of lights means ignorance. So I would like to know how one should celebrate birthday in regards to our culture and tradition. Is the concept of celebrating birthday is mentioned in our Vedas, puranas. Thanks, RAM
Guest guest
Make the birthday person to wake up in the early morning. Oil bath performed for the person.let the person wear new clothes. Take him to Pooja mandir in the house and ask to lit the lamp. Make his/her mouth sweet. Ask the person to take the blessings of all the seniors in the house so the person is blessed. Let the person visit the Temple and Take the blessings of the Deities in the temple and Blessings from the pujari. Have a feast in the lunch. In the evening, the persons can invite friends and dear ones to distribute sweets to all of them. there is no litting of candles and blowing them which is of western practice.
