Nirvaana Shatkam is a Prakarana Text of Sankara Bhagavatpada containing the

quintessence of Upanishadic wisdom in six slokas in which Advaita philosophy is

expounded in a melodious poetic form. This text has always been held in high

esteem for utilizing several familiar words to render its teaching simple and

concrete.

Sivoham  -  Sivoham  ' I am Siva, the absolute Brahman ' --  --  Adi

Sankaracharya expounds the divine energy which is unifying consciousness of

living and non-living called Mahattatva present in the entire universe..

A very special and interesting aspect of this Nirvaana Shatkam is that Swami

Vivekananda was greatly  facinated and has rendered translation to this

Prakarana.

I request you to listen to  Nirvana Shatkam in this  auspicious Margasira month.

Editor's Note: It would be nice if the translation by Swami Vivekananda is

shared here. Sai Ram. Swamy
